you highlight a very important aspect of brand building called storytelling. Also great examples of ads. I can relate as I have spent about 9 years in advertising.

But I caught on to the following line from the article. 'A “case study” essentially means a success story.'

I believe that a case study could be of that of an unsuccessful event too. Case studies study cases of success as well as failure, to learn from them the reasons behind the outcomes.
